Reflections of a pandemic
On the 23rd March 2020 the UK went into a full lockdown. Prime Minster Boris Johnson declared that the British public could only go out when completely necessary. Shops, bars, restaurants and offices across the country were closed until further notice.
On the 15th June 2020, just before the UK hit the three-month mark, lockdown was eased and non-essential shop were allowed to re-open. After such a crippling time for the local economy I wanted to capture those precious first moments when a small, previously thriving local village (Broadway, Worcestershire) was able to reopen.
Reflections of a Pandemic is the story of the village of Broadway, Worcestershire navigating a strange "new-normal"
With thanks to the wonderful shop owners who let me document this (in order of appearance)
